Christian Matt Pulisic (born-18th September 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays for and captains the English Premier League club Chelsea and the United States men’s national soccer team as an attacking midfielder or winger. Early life
Pulisic was born on September 18, 1998, in Pennsylvania. Pulisic spent his childhood in Pennsylvania. Christian Pulisic’s father, Mark Pulisic, and mother, Kelly, both played college football for George Mason University. He considered Luis Figo as his football idol since childhood.
At the age of seven, Pulisic started playing for Brackley Town’s youth football team due to his mother’s profession. When his father was the general manager of the Detroit Ignition Football Club in the mid-2000s, Pulisic began living in Michigan. While in Michigan, Christian Pulisic attended Workman Elementary School and also played for the Michigan Rush Football Club.

Borussia Dortmund (2015-2019)
In February 2015, Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund signed 16-year-old young midfielder Christian Pulisic.
He first played in Borussia Dortmund’s U17 squad and in the summer of 2015 in the U19 squad. Finally, after a long hard work, Christian Pulisic was called up to the first team of Borussia Dortmund after playing only 15 football matches for the Dortmund youth team and scoring 10 goals. On 24 January, just one day after making his first team debut, Pulisic played in another friendly against German club Union Berlin. where Pulisic scored one goal and assisted the other.
Christian Pulisica made his Bundesliga debut on 30 January 2016 in a 2–0 win against Ingolstadt. Young footballer Pulisic scored his first goal in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund on 17 April, against Hamburg where his team went from a 3–0 deficit. This made Pulisic the youngest non-German footballer to score in the Bundesliga at the age of 17 years and 212 days.
In his second year with Borussia Dortmund, Pulisic played in the UEFA Champions League, becoming the youngest player in that tournament. In a Champions League group stage game against popular Spanish football club Real Madrid, Dortmund was trailing 2–1 in the first half and brought on Pulisic as a second-half substitute. In the second half, Pulisic provided a great assist to Andre Schurrle which Andre Schurrle converted. This resulted in a 2-1 win for Dortmund.
On 8th March 2017 came one of the greatest moments in Pulisic’s football career. Pulisic scored his first goal against Portuguese club Benfica in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, making him Dortmund’s youngest goalscorer in the Champions League at the age of 18.
Chelsea (2019- present)
On 2 January 2019, Christian Pulisic signed for English Premier League club Chelsea for an estimated £58 million transfer fee. The transfer made Pulisic the most expensive American player.
Then on 11 August 2019, Pulisic made his debut for Chelsea in the English Premier League in a 0–4 loss against another English giant, Manchester United. On 26 October 2019, Christian Pulisic scored his first goal for Chelsea against Burnley, along with a hat-trick. Chelsea won by 4-2 interval. Also, at the age of 21, Pulisic became the youngest hat-trick scorer in Chelsea football history.

As a result, Pulisic became the first American player to score in an FA Cup final, but his club football career was cut short by a hamstring injury.
Pulisic then returned to training for Chelsea on 9 September. On 3 October, Pulisic made his second Chelsea debut of the season in a 4–0 win over Crystal Palace. Pulisica’s goal for Chelsea against arch-rivals Leeds United made him the first American footballer to reach 10 goals in the Premier League.
Pulisic scored the only goal against 14-time Champions League winners Spanish giants Real Madrid at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. As a result, Chelsea made the away match a draw at 1-1. The goal made Pulisic the youngest Chelsea player and the first American to score in a Champions League semi-final.
Chelsea then won the Champions League final 1–0 against another English team, Manchester City, at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto on 29 May. As a result, Pulisic won his first Champions League in a Chelsea jersey. He then came on as a substitute in the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup final, helping Chelsea to a 2–1 win over Palmeiras.
International career:
Christian Pulisic has represented the United States National U-15 and U-17 teams at the international level. He scored two valuable goals in 10 appearances for the USA U-15 team. He captained the United States men’s soccer team at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, where he had one goal and one assist in three games. As a result, Pulisic scored a total of 20 goals in 34 games for the United States national U-15 and U-17 teams in his two years. Pulisic was called up to play internationally for the Croatian national team, but he turned down the opportunity.
Then on March 27, 2016, Pulisic was called up to the senior team by head coach Jürgen Klinsmann for a World Cup qualifier against the North American country of Guatemala. Then on September 2, 2016, Christian Pulisic scored two goals and an assist in a World Cup qualifier against the Caribbean nation Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. On June 6, 2021, Pulisic led the United States men’s national team to a 3–2 victory in the first match. Pulisic scored the winner from the penalty spot in the 114th minute of extra time in the CONCACAF Nations League final against Mexico.
On March 27, 2022, Pulisic scored his first international hat-trick against Panama in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification with two penalty shootouts and a goal.
